Zong 4G, Pakistan’s leading telecommunications provider, is proud to announce a strategic partnership with PAGE (Pakistan Alliance for Girls Education), an esteemed organization committed to creating an enabling environment for gender equality in education, employment, law and leadership.
The signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) took place on Wednesday 21st June, reaffirming the commitment of both organizations to work together and strengthen girls’ education in Pakistan. The ceremony was attended by representatives from both Zong 4G and PAGE.
Under this memorandum, Zong 4G and PAGE will work together to achieve their common goal of transforming the educational environment for girls in Pakistan. The partnership includes a range of activities, including workshops delivered by trainers, provision of internet equipment in restricted areas, career training initiatives, rehabilitation of flood-affected schools and workshops in vocational centers for women.
Zong 4G is committed to supporting PAGE in its mission to bridge the gender gap in education. Zong 4G’s official spokesperson expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating: “At Zong 4G, we firmly believe that education is the cornerstone of progress. By partnering with PAGE, we are committed to empowering girls and ensuring equal access to quality education.”
Zong 4G and PAGE previously collaborated on several initiatives, such as the establishment of an independent Digital Lab in Pir Chinasi, Azad Jammu & Kashmir. The Lab is primarily located in a girls’ school, but it also serves as a vocational center for the area’s women. The Lab is located in a remote, remote area with no basic infrastructure such as roads. Established in December 2022, the digital lab helps facilitate hundreds of girls and women from all over Pir Chinasi.
This strategic partnership between Zong 4G and PAGE demonstrates a shared vision and commitment to creating a better future for girls’ education in Pakistan. Using their collective resources, expertise and determination, both organizations strive to make a lasting impact on the lives of girls and young women across the country.
