WhatsApp now lets you share voice notes as status updates

WhatsApp keeps introducing new features and most of the features it launches are loved by people for their use. This time, Meta’s messaging app has come up with a new feature that allows users to share voice notes as status updates. This news comes from WaBetaInfo, who announced that the latest WhatsApp beta for Android update is available on the Google Play Store.

Android Beta testers who participate can share their voice memos as status updates. This function can be seen in the text status area. While this feature is only available to beta testers, it will be rolled out to everyone in the future when it passes the test. In addition, the company plans to give users more control over their voice recordings, meaning users will soon be able to delete any part of the recording they don’t like before sharing it.

Now share voice notes as status updates on WhatsApp

The maximum recording time for a voice memo is 30 seconds. These voice memos shared as status are end-to-end encrypted. Like pictures and videos in status updates, voice notes shared via status disappear after 24 hours. Users are also given the option to delete voice notes, even if they were posted as a status update.

As mentioned above, this feature is currently only available to users who install the latest Google Play Store beta. After it is successful, this feature will be rolled out to every user around the world.
