Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp is rolling out a new action sheet interface for some beta testers on iOS. Previously, the platform used Apple’s APIs action sheets to drive user interaction for certain events.
According to the WABetaInfo, after installing the app’s latest update, some beta testers might start experimenting with this new interface for certain action sheets. WhatsApp has added new action sheets for muting, deleting, deleting or exporting a conversation.

A redesigned action sheet is also available when you enable the ability to save media in the photos app or view the chat shortcuts.
The new Action Sheets interface is currently available to some beta testers who install the latest version of WhatsApp beta for iOS. However, it will be available to more users in the coming days.
In addition, the company is also working on a redesigned settings page for the iOS beta. The settings tab is expected to be replaced by a tab with the user’s profile picture. Three new shortcuts will also likely be added to the page that will allow users to quickly navigate to their privacy settings, contact list, and profile.
Recently, WhatsApp brought back the ability to swipe between tabs. WhatsApp has made several interface improvements to support Material Design 3. The company has redesigned switches and floating action buttons to reflect Material Design 3 guidelines.
