All Samsung enthusiasts have been anxiously waiting for the One UI 5.1 update. This latest update is a relatively minor update compared to One UI 5, but it does bring a handful of new features and system improvements. The tech giant has announced the rollout of the One UI 5.1 update for older devices such as the Galaxy S20 series, Galaxy S22 series and last year Samsung foldable phones. Today, the company also officially announced the rollout, as well as the first list of older Samsung phones that will get the update.
Here is the list of Samsung phones that will get the latest update soon
With the all-new update, the Samsung Galaxy app is easier to navigate and can even recognize faces from images, helping Samsung users quickly create albums of their loved ones. The best part is that the update also integrates Samsung’s Expert RAW app directly into the default camera app of eligible Galaxy phones. It allows photography enthusiasts to capture uncompressed images straight from the camera sensor. One UI 5.1 also supports Multi Control connections that allow users who own a Galaxy Book to use the keyboard, trackpad or mouse with a Galaxy phone without physically connecting the two gadgets.
Samsung has officially posted news about the rollout on its website today. The tech giant has specifically mentioned that the rollout will begin with the phones listed below:
- Galaxy S22 series
- Galaxy S21 series (including the S21 FE)
- Galaxy S20 phones (including S20 FE)
- Galaxy Z Fold 4
- Galaxy Z Flip 4
We hope that Samsung will bring the update to more phones, including the Galaxy A series and other budget-friendly Galaxy phones. The tech giant also specifically mentioned that Samsung tablets will also get the update soon. So we think Galaxy Tab owners won’t have to wait too long to get their hands on the latest One UI update. Galaxy S23 owners already have the update out-of-the-box.
