Spotify is currently unavailable to many users

Don’t worry if you’re the one dealing with a Spotify outage! It’s not just you. According to the latest reports, Spotify is facing an ongoing outage affecting countless users around the world. Thousands of social media posts revealed that the outage began shortly after 10 a.m. PT and is still ongoing. The point worth noting is that the music streamer, Spotify, has not given any indication of when the service will come back online.

Spotify is down again: second outage in two weeks

According to reports, the Spotify outage seems to be widespread, but the fact is that it does not affect everyone. Data collected by Downdetector clearly reveals an influx of complaints about Spotify issues around 10 a.m. PT. Spotify users started saying that they are unable to load the app and stream content be it music, audiobooks or podcasts.

According to complaints, the desktop version of the Spotify app gives a “firewall” error. On the other hand, the Spotify mobile app gives a “gateway” error. The notable point here is that it’s the second time in the last two weeks that Spotify has gone down. The service also went offline for over two hours for many users on January 13, and the service has never officially revealed what happened.

Spotify stated:

“Something is wrong and we are investigating. Thank you for your reports!”
