The Samsung Gaalxy S23 saga is now over. Now fans of the Korean company are eagerly awaiting the details and rumors of Samsung’s foldable flagship series in 2023 – the Z lineup, which consists of the Galaxy Z fold 5 and the smaller Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5. The debut both devices are expected to be out in August 2023, but we’re starting to get details on them.
One of Ice Universe’s most authentic leakers tweeted that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will have a larger cover display than the Oppo Find N2 Flip. Oppo Find N2 Flip hit the market in recent weeks and both are rivals when it comes to foldable phones.

One of the unique selling points of the Oppo Find N2 Flip has remained the larger outer screen, which allows users to use the device more efficiently when folded. Also considering one of the biggest shortcomings of the Galaxy Flip 4, which was the miniscule secondary screen, so small that users had to open the folding screen to effectively perform any task they wanted. Even after this flaw, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 remains one of the best foldable phones to buy in 2023, but this was due to the limited competition Samsung faced in Western markets.
However, as more companies enter the foldable lineup in 2023, including Google, it will certainly affect Samsung’s position in this market.
With a larger secondary screen, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will surely take away the glory of the Oppo Find N2 Flip. Samsung needs to work in two areas to stand out in this market namely; screen crease and gaps formed when folding, as some folding manufacturers have already addressed this. Let’s see how the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 performs with a larger screen.
