The primary goal of this workshop was to address the gender gap in mobile use in Pakistan, drawing on insights from the authoritative Mobile Gender Gap 2023 report.

During the workshop, the GSMA team’s invaluable expertise in the use of mobile technology by micro-entrepreneurs played a vital role in guiding the PTCL Group team. The joint efforts have led to the identification of strategic pathways for harnessing the transformative potential of mobile technology. This newfound understanding facilitated the development of innovative approaches explicitly tailored to empowering female micro-entrepreneurs, fostering their growth, inclusiveness and economic empowerment through the effective use of mobile technology.

Sajid Munir, Group VP Commercial Strategy, PTCL & Ufone 4G, said: “Strengthening connectivity for women across Pakistan is our unwavering commitment.
