PTA Taxes on iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max (Updated July 2023)

There are many smartphone users who are still using the iPhone XS series and are planning to bring these phones to Pakistan. This involved Pakistani citizens who work abroad and intend to return to their homeland. This includes foreigners planning long trips to Pakistan for recreational purposes. In both cases, they have to pay the PTA tax to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to use the SIM cards in Pakistan. In this regard, let’s take a look at the recently updated PTA taxes on iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max.
PhoneWorld is the Authentic website only offering in Pakistan Accurate and updated mobile PTA tax information. You may see tax information elsewhere, but Look after! They are not Accurate.
PTA taxes on iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max
iPhone models | Passport PTA Taxes (PKR) | PTA taxes on CNIC (PKR) |
iPhone XS | 87,833/-. | 109.266/-. |
iPhone XS Max | 91.110/-. | 112,871/-. |
As can be seen, the taxes on these 4-5 year old iPhones are still very high and it discourages people from registering their iPhones with PTA. FBR has recently cut taxes on smartphones, but there is still a wide margin for more tax cuts, especially on older smartphones. Therefore, we are proposing to FBR to further reduce taxes to provide relief for mobile users. In addition, you can use our PTA tax calculator to find out the PTA taxes for another smartphone.
