Pakistan Railways are shifting their network to solar power

The most interesting news we can share with you today is that Pakistan Railways (PR) has finally decided to switch its network to solar energy. They are going to take this step to reduce the economic burden.

Pakistan’s rail network will soon be converted to solar power

In a statement, the CEO of Pakistan Railways revealed that the railway network will be converted to solar power to ease the economic burden. He further stated that the PR also decided to reinstate the Mohenjo Daro Express from July 20 on the direction of Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique.

According to the Pakistan Railways statement, the Mohenjo Daro Express will have eight economy coaches and will run between Dadu and Habib Kot. Furthermore, it has been told by CEO Salman Sadiq Sheikh that if Mohenjo Daro Express becomes successful, we have further plans to restore other expresses. He said Bolan Express will also be reinstated in that case. However, he clearly stated that commercially exploiting the Khushhal Khan Khattak Express is currently not feasible.
