New PTA taxes on OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7 Pro 5G and OnePlus 7T (January 2023)
We’re back with yet another list of mobile phone PTA taxes. The Federal Board of Revenue is responsible for levying taxes on smartphones. Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, on the other hand, provides advice and introduces taxes. We recently covered the PTA loads on different devices and this time we are going to share the loads on all OnePlus 7 series smartphones. OnePlus is known for launching affordable smartphones with premium specs. The OnePlus 7 series includes OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7 Pro 5G and OnePlus 7T. As with other premium smartphones, you would expect the PTA taxes on these phones to be costly. Fortunately, this is not the case with the OnePlus 7 series. So let’s take a look at the new PTA taxes on the OnePlus 7 series:

As you can see, it’s hard to understand that taxes on certain premium smartphones are significantly higher than those on their rivals. That’s why we don’t understand the algorithm our national telecom regulator and FBR use to impose smartphone taxes.
