Meet Honor Magic V2 – the lightest and thinnest foldable phone yet
Honor just announced its third-generation foldable phone: the Magic V2. It is the thinnest and lightest foldable device yet. It’s a real design marvel at just 9.9mm when folded (4.7mm unfolded) and weighs just 231g. The thinnest foldable to date was the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2, which measures 11.2mm when folded and weighs 262 grams.
The other nice design element of the Magic V2 is the gearless unibody hinge mechanism that uses a 3D printed titanium alloy case developed by Honor. The folding mechanism also uses custom short screws in the hinge part. There’s no official ingress protection, but Honor has confirmed that Magic V2 has a P2i coating on all internal elements that protect it from accidental splashes of water.
