Jazz joins CoRe Alliance to advance its climate commitment –
Jazz, Pakistan’s largest digital operator and lifestyle partner, has announced it is joining the Collect and Recycle (CoRe) Alliance to advance its climate commitment. On World Environment Day, the company reiterated its ambition to reduce its carbon footprint through energy efficiency and other measures that reduce emissions and increase adaptation efforts as part of its sustainability agenda.
Together with the leading industry players, non-governmental organizations and reputable packaging companies, CoRe is an alliance that aims to create a circular economy by reducing the packaging footprint and encouraging sustainable and innovative practices. Alliance members include The Coca-Cola Company, Ecolean, Engro Polymer & Chemicals, FrieslandCampina, Green Earth Recycling, Lucky Core Industries Limited, METRO, Nestlé Pakistan, Novatex, Packages, PARCO, PepsiCo, SDPI, SPEL, Tetra Pak, TOTAL PARCO , UNDP, Unilever and WWF-Pakistan.
“Climate action is a collective responsibility and at Jazz we remain committed to being part of the solution; the company is pursuing several initiatives focused on energy conservation, and our net zero commitment commitment by 2050 with GSMA is a reflection of our ambition to fight climate change for a healthier planet,” said Syed Fakhar Ahmed, Chief Corporate & Regulatory Officer at Jazz.

Membership in the CoRe Alliance offers mobile and digital services giant Jazz the chance to sit down with other climate-focused members and industry experts to map out a roadmap on how to tackle Pakistan’s troubling climate challenge. can be effectively addressed in the long term.
