Meta-owned Facebook and Instagram will soon have a paid verification service that will be similar to Twitter’s Blue verification plan. The announcement of this service came directly from Meta’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
As we all know, Twitter was the first to launch a paid verification service last year Elon Musk became CEO of the company, but now Meta has decided to launch the same service for Facebook and Instagram users.
Facebook and Instagram users can now get a verification tick by paying $15 monthly
On Meta’s primary platforms such as Instagram and Facebook, a blue-check verified account is finite as it has strict verification method and requirements, but soon it will be money.
With his announcement, Marking also revealed the price of the service, and it is different for mobile and desktop users. For web users, it will cost $11.99 per month And $14.99 for iOS And Android users.
Moreover, after purchasing this plan, users also get some of the additional features like more visibility And range on the platform and exclusive decals for the stories and reels.

To get the blue checkmark on your account you have to meet some requirements like you have to provide government IDs to prove your identity and prevent you from impersonating others.
Also, your account username and name must match the document provided and your account must have a profile picture. Meta also announces more security and privacy on the platform.
According to the announcement, the company will start rolling out this week, but in the initial phase it will not be available to everyone as the company is only launching it for users in Australia And New Zealand.
And in regards to expanding the subscription service, Mark said in the announcement, “more countries coming soon”. In addition, this paid verification service is not currently available for businesses as it is only launching for individuals.
